Situated in the centre of the
busy seaside town of Blackpool, just a stone's throw from the
piers and promenade, might not seem the obvious place to find
a shop specialising in the repair, restoration and dealing of
violins. Tucked away on the second floor* of an Edwardian
bank building it is a haven of peace above the bustle of this
most famous of nineteenth century resorts.
People often travel from all
over the country to purchase instruments or to have their own
carefully restored. Anything from inexpensive beginner's outfits
to fine old French and Italian stock, are all carefully set up
in order to bring out the best in that particular instrument.
Apart from the showroom, workshops and storerooms, there is a
small trying room where people are able to spend as long as they
need trying various instruments, with help and advice available
if needed.
From Thursday, 8th March, 2012,
we will be found in new premises on the first foor. We look forward
to seeing you in the new, more spacious premises.
Then a much needed
short break!
